My teaching experience started in Music Collage,where teaching of school age students was part of curriculum .After graduation from Kiev Conservatory I taught individual violin and viola lessons at Kiev Music School #10 for Gifted Children. Shortly after immigrating to the United States I joined the teaching staff of the Notre Dame School of Music,where I served as a violin teacher for 5 years. When in 2005 the school was closed,I decided to continue teaching and created my private studio, where I have been teaching students of all ages and levels to play violin,viola and piano. Read More

I am a newly graduated musician who is eager and motivated to pass on my knowledge and experience to others! My experience with music has extended back 17 years, beginning at the age of six. For the first twelve years, I was mentored under the tutelage of Janet Houston. I also have a combined 14 years of orchestral performance experience, beginning with the Dearborn Youth Symphony which lasted ten years. While in Austin, Joseph ran a successful teaching studio of over 30 violin and viola students that regularly placed in TMEA All-Region Orchestras, UIL State Solo Ensemble Contest, and were members of the Austin Youth Orchestra. I take the great things about the Suzuki Method and use them (fun, creativity, by-ear learning, group jams). Then I take the things I don't like about the method and disregard them (pre-established repetoire, no composition or improv). I teach kids how to concentrate, how to teach themselves, how to ignore distractions, and the philosophy for joyful performance without nervousness.
