Starting from beginner level students and teaching them technicalities and specifics of classical violin to teaching students of any age creative writing and spontaneous playing. I also specialize in creative pop song writing and alternative recording. This includes training students who see themselves pursuing playing violin for bands and in more diverse musical cultures. I typically use a style of traditional classical instruction. Including scales, studies, and repertoire. I teach sight reading and ear training. I use memorization, and critical listening skills. I have been running my own private studio since my high school years and am now currently enrolled as a Colburn Teaching Fellow at my college which entails teaching children from low income families in the Los Angles area. Encouraging regular practice in a consistent schedule is one of the most important points for a younger student to help progress and gain passion for the instrument.
