I have been playing cello for 20 or so years. I have studied at CSUN classical cello performance. I have been teaching for about 10 years. I have brought many students from complete beginners all the way up to concierto level playing. I have played for and with many very successful bands over the years including Chelsea Wolfe, No Age, Saint Motel, Tes Elations. My teaching method books involve All for Strings and Suzuki books. Suzuki books are categorized from level 1-10, level 8-10 is the equivalent of college level repertoire. I currently have students on level 1-8. In addition, I also look for individual method books and outside repertoire of Suzuki once the student is ready to move at a faster pace or in need of additional help. I make sure I plan individual lessons and create overall schemes of work for my pupils so they can develop knowledge of materials and repertoire for them at different stages of their musical development.
