Music has been one of my passions since I was a little girl! I took up piano at age 8, violin at 13, and drums at 15. I've been known to belt out a tune here and there, too! I like to tailor my teaching methods to each individual student. I know from taking lessons myself that no two violinist are alike, and it would be silly to teach as if they were. For my younger students, I really like to focus on the fundamentals of violin technique so that they can have a firm foundation on which they can improve. I also try to include music theory and music history into my lessons so that a student leaves each lesson not only as a better violinist, but as a better overall musician. Read More

Based on that information, I move forward with music notation and performance. For this age group, I believe acknowledging their progress and achievement is critical.
