I currently teach Violin at two elementary Chicago Public Schools; and have taught lessons through the Chicago Park District, After School Matters and Illinois Arts Council programs. As a violinist I've worked with Andrea Bocelli, Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez and Donna Summers. For 10 years was first violin and soloist of the Puerto Rico Philharmonic Orchestra. After Book 5, I tend to use conservatory repertoire such as technique books ( Sevcik, Hrimaly), Scale Books, Etudes, and concertos. When it comes to keeping my students interested, I try to find songs that my students are interested in learning. I find those songs according to their level and the technique I want to teach them and then move on from there. Read More
