I am involved with many orchestra events during my master degree such as performing in Tsai Performance Center and Boston Symphony Hall. I am happy to work with students with whatever method book they are currently using but I am also happy to suggest method books and literature that I feel could further guide their growth. I want my students to have fun and be able to be inspired to learn and create. I know that everyone learns their way and I do believe myself accommodating and understanding. Learning to read, write, and play music is essentially learning another language and having taught languages for several years, I know people move at different paces. My teaching experience dates back to my college days, as I began teaching private lessons part time 3 years ago, and have been consistently teaching students in my home studio for the last 1 year. Encouraging regular practice on a consistent schedule is one of the key points I like to emphasize for younger students, as it tends to help the student progress and gain a passion for the instrument.
