My teaching experience goes back as far as high school when I started volunteering to teach violin lessons to younger students. In my college years, I taught as part of Oberlin Conservatory's secondary lessons program in addition to teaching members of the Oberlin community of different ages and levels. Currently, I maintain private studios in multiple locations as an addition to my Musika students. We'll be doing two septets for violin, viola, cello, bass, clarinet, bassoon, and French horn by Adolphe Blanc and Franz Berwald. We just performed them 3 other times in MIllis, MA, Methuen, MA and Hamilton MA, Yes and in August we performed at the Plymouth library in Plymouth MA doing a different program. I honed in my classical skills, and thereon pursued the unconventional in violin genres my going to Berklee College of Music. I have been teaching private lessons for about 2 years, both for a company and privately. These lessons include beginner piano, voice, and violin. In my music therapy internship I have also had the experience of teaching adaptive piano, guitar, and ukulele lessons. Finally, while I am not yet board certified and cannot offer music therapy until next school year, I have over 1,000 hours of music therapy clinical experience in which I use musical activities to help clients achieve non-musical goals in the areas of cognition, emotion, physical abilities, communication, social skills and academics.
