This is when I became involved with a program for underserved children which eventually became the Fine Arts Institute in Green Bay, Wisconsin. A short time later, after being hired as an accompanist at a local string studio, I was hired as a string teacher within the studio, where I taught for several years. The student does not need to develop exceptional musicianship, but they are required enough interest in developing musical skills.
