I have been a part of a variety of different youth orchestras growing up and this constant exposure to working with my peers have allowed me to develop strong skills in teamwork and communication. My approach to teaching is to share my love for music with my students. I will allow students to go at their own pace, and set realistic goals and expectations. I like to focus on intonation heavily, as anything other than excellent intonation is not good playing, in the words of a former instructor. Quartet. Between 2003 and 2009, I was based in Austin where he performed and recorded with dozens of artists throughout Texas and the United States. These have included Leo Stokes and the Grifters, Matthew Ballard, Pieces of East, Hunky Dori, Ross Brunner Band, Johnny Lyon, Quartet Felix and The Fountainhead Ensemble. In 2007, I received a custom-built 5 string fretted violin from luthier Mark Wood in New York. I do my best to give my students a good practice regimen that they can use to practice everyday, while also providing them tips to practice the pieces that they are trying to put together on their own.
