I am a creative and focused violin instructor specializing in classical to contemporary orchestral music. I graduated from Drexel University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. I have been playing the violin for almost 20 years, starting from my Kindergarten music lessons all the way to sitting as Concert Master for the Drexel University Symphony Orchestra. Between that, I've had the privilege of performing with the Metropolitan Youth Orchestra, the Gemini Youth Orchestra, New York All-County Orchestra, New York All-State Orchestra and New York Summer School of the Arts. Besides teaching privately, I am also the adjunct cello teacher for The Pennington School. My responsibilities also include running sectionals, orchestra rehearsals as well as performing for various functions and with the students in their concerts. This has given me the opportunity to work with an ensemble, which is something I did really enjoy while working in the public schools. With over 20 years of teaching experience, I have worked with students from the beginning level through advanced. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music! Therefore, it's important that each student progresses at his or her own pace. I encourage this by setting realistic goals for my students at each lesson. Acknowledging accomplishments helps fuel a students desire to progress, and makes students eager to learn more. By trying to find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction to their wants and needs. Read More

I look forward to meeting new students of all ages!! Read More

Music is deeply personal; one must get to know each student's own personality, interests, and connections to music. Early on (both in the teaching relationship and in each lesson) one must assess where the student is, as to technical and musical growth, and with the music at hand. Then one finds, models, explains and encourages the next steps the student can achieve. Clear guidance and dialogue about what will happen outside the studio (listening, practice, rehearsal, performance) helps turn the weekly cycle of lessons into an upward spiral of progress, achievement, and reward. My teaching style revolves around a student's interests, and my lessons are modified and personalized for each individual. Every student has a different style of their own, and I work hard to help them develope their style. Learning music should never feel like a chore; it should be a form of self expression. Rather than using only lesson books to teach, i also provide them a blank and personalized lesson journal, in which they learn the foundations of writing, reading and understanding sheet music and music theory.
