I began studying classical singing and performing in gospel choirs, vocal ensembles and chorales at a young age. After earning my Masters Degree in Education, I enjoyed 10 years of teaching 7th to 12th grade students in public schools. I have performed throughout the country as a classical, jazz and contemporary vocalist before opening my own recording studio in 2014. I normally use the Standard of Excellence method books for most of my students; however, I am open minded to adjusting to each individual student's musical needs, whether it be Jazz, Classical, or whatever style music the student is focusing on. For Drummers, I prefer the Haskell Harr Method, or the Buddy Rich Method Book, as well as the Breeze Easy Method Book. I believe the student is there to find a passion. It is so important to find love for the art, and this is what I try to provide. A lead-by-example approach is the core of what I do. I "draw" the student toward their own voice. It is imperative to help them find their own "style."
