I am extremely passionate about music and playing my instrument. I received my BA in Viola Performance in 2018 and have been an incredibly active performer and teacher since then. In 2019 I had the pleasure of playing in three different orchestras in Europe and also performed in an intensive summer music festival in Prague, playing in such venues as the Estates Theater and the Rudolfinum, home of the Czech Philharmonic. I find that students become inspired and motivated when they find out that music is not only fun, but that they have the tools within themselves to be their own artists and to accomplish short and long term goals. For stringed instruments, I uses the Suzuki method for teaching the basic repertory of the instruments. This method is an ear training method in which the student plays by ear. It starts out very simple so students of all ages can learn and progress very quickly. I have taught quite literally all ages. 5-75. Styles and lesson books used varied depending upon student and school. I usually taught Suzuki for violin, viola and classical guitar (tend to prefer Scott Tennant Pumping Nylon book for classical guitar though). And usually Faber Piano Adventures for young piano students. Eventually going to Clementi Sonatinas and Chopin Preludes. Also Mel Bay Modern Guitar for beginning rock/jazz guitarists. I have been teaching for the last 14 years for other music schools as well as my home studio. I love to help new students from the ages of  4-99  in learning the joys of playing an instrument or instruments that they are going to enjoy.
