I love to help new students from the ages of  4-99  in learning the joys of playing an instrument or instruments that they are going to enjoy. Since I moved to California in 2002, I focused on music education; I was director of Waltrips Yamaha Music School, and later a director of the music program and a faculty member at the Arroyo Pacific Academy. I can teach through the use of books (such as the Suzuki Method, John Thompson, etc) but I am also an advocate for learning by ear, transcribing and chord charts. Lowell Liebermann. I was chosen as the primary film composer for the student thesis films and graduated in May of 2018. I was selected to compose a piece for the 7:1 dance collaboration project run by the Rovaco Dance Company.
