I have been teaching for about 10 years now, both privately and in various music lesson stores throughout the Tampa Bay area. I have taught students ranging from 5 to 60 years of age. I was viola section leader during three of my four years at Gaither High School, inspired to pursue music by my orchestra teacher Heather Grier (world-renowned violinist and friend of Andrea Bocceli). After graduating, I attended Hillsborough Community College as a music major, and I landed my first teaching job at Excel Music as a substitute teacher. Throughout the process, I also integrate tidbits of music theory and history to give the student a more well-rounded experience.  As for guitar and piano, I normally take a more custom approach to teaching that tends to not revolve around any specific method book. For me it is essential that a student learn first all the techniques exercises and then start to create music. In USA he has performed with Florida Lakes Orchestra, South Florida Symphony Orchestra, Greg Turley Orchestra, in several programs and performances. He has also been invited to teach at the National Conservatory of Puerto Rico, Universidad San Martín in Argentina, as well as guest artist at “El Sistema USA” in Boston, supporting the development of orchestra programs with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra and the New England Conservatory. Among my students there are professors, section leaders, concertmasters of Orchestras in Venezuela, and renowned musicians like Gustavo Dudamel, Diego Matehuz, Angelica Olivo, and Marielisa and Mariesther Alvarez.
