I am a focused and enthusiastic instructor who's driven to challenge students while providing a positive and enjoyable experience. I am a violist first and foremost with eleven years of training, in addition to studying piano for thirteen years and violin for five. In 2016 I started my Undergraduate degree in Music Education at Ithaca College, and will be finishing my degree at Queens College in 2021. In 1994 Oleg Rutkovsky immigrated to USA and settled in Fort Lee, NJ. He made his American debut recital in Memphis, TN in 1995. Since 1994 he performed with such orchestras as New Jersey Symphony, Albany Symphony, New York Virtuosi Chamber Symphony, New Philharmonic of New Jersey, Brooklyn Philharmonic Orchestra, Bachanalia Chamber Ensemble and appeared in a few Broadway productions such "Ragtime" and "Music Man". In 1996, Oleg was invited to perform with the Houston Festival Orchestra as Concertmaster under the the button of Maxim Shostakovich, son of the the great Russian composer, Dmitry Shostakovich. While I was a student at RCM I was invited take part in the Philharmonia Orchestra Infernal Dance chamber music series and was selected to perform at the BBC Proms and the Palace of Versailles as part of Les 24 Violons du Roy. I moved from London to New York in May 2018 and so far I have had the opportunity to perform at the Merkin Concert Hall and La MaMa Theatre. Read More
