- My teaching style is one of the many things that sets me a part from other teachers. I work to create a fundamental relationship with my students to find out what their goals are, what specific level they are at currently, and where they want to take their talents. Once I’ve discovered these essential things, I work with my student at their own pace of comfort and challenge to allow them to learn the things that interest them as well as continue to develop as a musician. My goal for every student is to experience learning their instruments in an environment that is both encouraging and rewarding. I exhibit patience with the student knowing what it takes to develop new skills and I work hard in helping each student feel at ease in expressing themselves. I love seeing students realize their own progress. I always like to start with recording a first attempt and then recording it again once it has been mastered so they can see their progress. I focus on positive reinforcement teaching. It is very easy, especially for a new student, to get bogged down in not making progress fast enough so I like to make sure they see all the steps they're taking and also know where it will lead them. My teaching come from the Suzuki philosopy. I want to make good citizens. If a child hears fine music and learns to play it they develop sensitivity, discipline and endurance. I develop the students mid-brain in a musical enviroment. I teach the student how to use their ears more and their eyes less. If the students ear is strong and well honed, their music journey will be so much enjoyable. Read More

Nothing is more rewarding than seeing one of my students develop a passion for music. It is so important that each individual student progresses at his or her own ace. When I acknowledge their accomplishments, it helps to fuel the desire to learn of the student and makes them eager to learn more. Once I find out what inspires the student, I can successfully tailor my instruction towards the wants and needs of my students. Read More
