I am a music-loving performer and instructor living in Philadelphia, PA. I have played trumpet principally for thirteen years, and I also play the drums, bass guitar, ukulele, and trombone. Since 2010 I have been a gigging musician, performing in venues such as The Bandshell (Central Park), World Cafe Live (Philadelphia and Wilmington), Dilworth Park, and the new FringeArts headquarters. Standard repertoire in classical and jazz studies is also covered. Sight-reading, improvisation, and ear-training are also a part of most lessons. I began my teaching experience at Stokes State Forest Music Camp, in which I was able to coach small chamber groups, band and orchestra sectionals, music theory, as well as one-on-one instruction. I pick the one that suits the childs' needs the best, based on how the first few lessons go. We will then progress through the books and introduce supplemental materials, such as solo repertoire and other extras, once the student shows positive progress. I just graduated from Temple University with my masters degree in Jazz Studies, but am versed in many styles of playing and composing.
