So I typically take a very relaxed approach during the first few lessons, to get the student to loosen up and feel comfortable, all while observing the student in order to assess their strengths and weaknesses, and figure out what types of music the student is interested in making. I believe in the importance of teaching the skills necessary for self-improvement both as a instrumentalist and musician, whether it's figuring out how best to go over trouble sections or memorization. I graduated from University of Hartford’s Hartt School of Music with a degree in Acoustical Engineering, concentration in Trumpet in 2017. I graduated as the valedictorian of my class.
