 I have taught in a variety of musical settings with a wide range of students and abilities. I have taught independently as well as for organizations such as the Youth Orchestra of Central NJ. In 2012 I worked for Camp Encore Coda where I taught trumpet lessons, directed the Symphonic Band, coached jazz combos, and taught music theory/musicianship class.  My experience working as full time music faculty for Camp Encore Coda sparked my graduate research on overnight summer music camp, which has since been presented at three major professional conferences in the music education field at the state, national, and international level.  Read More

My teaching experience began in my years at Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC). Next to the music building, I began to volunteer at the local daycare that was right next to the arts building. That experience is what led me to want to become a studio instructor. I enjoy hearing the students natural abilities, understanding what kind of music pours out of them, acknowledge that, and from there we develop it. At the same time, direct the student with technique, theory and any other tools that will facilitate the music they are passionate about. I am a third-year undergrad at NYU, studying Music Education with a concentration in instrumental performanceand I love it!
