My studets have reached NYSSMA level 6 and have played at college and scholarship auditions, NYSSMA solo festivals, in-house festivals as well as many other occasions. I have been teaching trumpet lessons for a decade, to students of all ages, and I also now teach beginning piano and trombone. I have also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Harvard Music Department. While I originally come from classical training and have the ability to deal with classical repertoire, I think there is much to be gained from trying to find and learn about the music that students love and connect to, be it Chopin, the Beatles, movie soundtracks, or Sara Bareilles.
