I'm a passionate and motivated instructor who loves working with students and sharing my love of music. In 2008, I graduated from California State University, Long Beach with a Bachelor of Music degree in Trombone Performance. Performing all over the world has been one of the greater experiences of my life as a musician, and I've had the opportunity to play both at the Hollywood Bowl in California, as well as touring the United States, Canada, Europe, and Asia with groups like the Backstreet Boys and the Brian Setzer Orchestra. I also have found that on top of strong fundamentals and good practice and performance habits, students find more pleasure in music when introduced to a variety of styles of music. Introducing students to classical, jazz, blues, and even modern music allows students to find even more enjoyment in the instrument they play. I encourage my students to perform in recitals and showcase the progress they have made in order to stay motivated. Read More

I start all my beginners with a strong set of fundamental practices, from breathing techniques and games to lip slurs and articulations. I find that the best way to motivate a student to practice and learn is to play music that they know. I teach beginning and intermediate students out of the Walter Beeler method, which provides a good progression of theory along with recognizable music. I like to finish lessons working on pop music or video game songs. Read More

My teaching experience is really varied. I teach kids that are beginners, advanced classic/jazz masterclasses and everything in between. I personally love this variety because it gives the possibility to experiment different methods and being open to students feedback so I can build the best lessons for them. My experience give the possibility to change my style and also I can draw for a large amount of musical materials to practice with each student. Read More
