Although it is important that my students progress at their own pace, I suggest practicing as many 20 minute sessions possible daily, for research has shown that the mind can concentrate most clearly for that length of time. For 23 years, I have taught instrumental music in the public schools in New York State, as well as private lessons. Although I teach all styles of music, at lessons, I focus on music of students choice. I have coached numerous rock bands at the local youth center. I come from a deep musical heritage and chose the trombone as my main instrument for spiritual reasons. While attending Los Angeles County High School for The Arts, I studied with jazz and trombone legends. Since moving to Boston to attend Berklee College of Music, I've been studying with masters from many different disciplines.
