The most rewarding part of a private lesson is seeing the students' love more music develop right in front of you! Therefore, it is critical that I tailor each lesson to fit a student's needs so that they may progress at their own pace. I accomplish this by setting realistic goals for my students. Because of this I make sure to acknowledge the accomplishment of my students when they find progress, and use that progress as motivation for the next lesson. Read More

I help each student not only meet their goals on their instrument, but also to meet their goals in life. If a student is interested in music, I strive to help them discover their big "Why?". Why do they play their instrument, and what is their reason for making music. I believe in coach-based teaching. In other words, the student is on their journey to discover how to achieve their goals, and I am a coach to guide them on their way. Read More

I graduated with my Master of Music degree in Trombone Performance from Boston University in 2018. I have had the opportunity to perform all over the United States through my involvement with DCI and as a freelance musician. My number one priority is for students to enjoy the music we play. Sometimes it can be hard work, but I want to make sure that the student leaves the lesson feeling excited about what they worked on, and ready to go home and practice. It is important to pay attention to how a student is reacting to the material being taught. I will often try and change up routine, or throw in something exciting or familiar. Read More
