I immediately took a strong liking towards music and followed it through all my years in school, learning brass instruments and refining my practices along the way. in 2018, I graduated from Berklee College of Music with a Bachelors of Arts degree in Performance. Funnily enough, my first private lesson student was actually a peer while I was in high school who wanted some tips and tricks. I also maintained a small lesson studio consisting throughout my time at the University of Iowa. Those lessons were driven heavily by the interests of my students. I had one student trying to prepare for a collegiate music major audition, I had one with interest in becoming a composer, and a more casual student whose ultimate goal was to gain enough skills to lead music in church worship services. Through lessons, I hope to help that passion blossom and teach that student how to best express themselves through music. My teaching style again goes back to finding out what and how the student wants to learn.
