I was always able to sing. I started piano in the 5th grade. I played trumpet in high school and made all state band 3 years in a row. I attended college at Houston Baptist University where I received a full scholarship to study music. Once I graduated I was immediately hired to do a national tour which was followed by 5 others. Before teaching I was always sharing ideas and my approach with my peers and anyone who wanted to listen. My jump into teaching music as a job started after high school teaching drum lessons at Music & Arts and All About Music & Arts in the Houston area. I have learned so much over the past few years teaching and professionally performing. I taught children ages 4-18 piano, voice and dance lessons. I discovered each age group requires a different style of teaching. I pride myself off of making sure the child feels comfortable in the lesson first and foremost. I am a passionate certified teacher who loves working with students of all ages. I have had the privilege to travel internationally with different groups sharing my love of music with the world.
