I have been involved in music for as long as I can remember, singing in church choirs and leading contemporary worship. I graduated from McMurry University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Piano Performance in 2004. Having decided that performing was not my #1 passion I then pursued a Masters of Music degree, specializing in Music Therapy, from Colorado State Univeristy. I have been a professional music therapist for the past 9 years, working with children and adolescents with developmental disabilities as well as mental health populations. Read More

I enjoy teaching students of all skill levels and ages, and I employ different approaches depending on the needs and personal goals for each student. All students will learn the fundamentals of good tone production, technique, rhythm, articulation, intonation, and basic theory. Read More

We performed at the summer camp designed for these groups and recreated our performance at Orchestra Hall, home of the Minnesota Orchestra, the following spring. Clarinet is my primary instrument and first love. I also teach saxophone and beginning flute and hope to add other woodwinds in the future. Piano has always been an important influence in my musical performances and I believe it is a gateway to interest in other instruments, so I truly enjoy teaching it! Read More
