Our music lesson students will have the opportunity to take lessons from the comfort of their own home or in one of the teachers studios. Careful attention is placed on each student to ensure a custom lesson plan. Our music teachers understand that every student has different needs and abilities and therefore the lessons will be planned with that knowledge in mind.

For absolute beginners I like to start with an interview to get to know who they are as an individual. From there, I will choose from a selection of beginner method books or craft my own method if I do not think that any existing method is effective. Once the student has grasped fundamentals, I start to introduce more standard repertoire. For all levels I like to heavily emphasize rhythm, theory, and listening, and will incorporate all of those aspects into every lesson. Read More

I first started teaching kids privately about 4 years ago in their home and I started off with just basic stuff like note reading and pop music but as time passed by I came up with a teaching method that I am pretty confident in. I also worked at a tutoring center teaching guitar and piano to the kids focusing on more rock styles of playing. Some of my students like to use youtube to learn to read music as a video game. It's a fun way to play. (brassified.com) You have a choice of what kind of songs you'd like to play. I had one student once who only wanted to play Patriotic Tunes, so that is what we played. He can play the Star Spangled Banner really well.
