My teaching experience comes from a variety of different sources for the last 8 years. During college, I taught at my alumni as a summer marching band assistant. During that time, I also taught trombone and piano lessons to students around the Waco area. I have also taught as a elementary music teacher for two years, and I bring those skills with me to my lessons studio. I have also worked for a school district as a Substitute Teacher where I had the opportunity to teach a variety of subjects and work with a multitude of students. I don't have many official teaching experiences, except for my student observing classes. For a class we had to drive to some middle school and high school for a year, attend about 4hrs and help the bands in these schools. I was able to help at Robstown High School and Seale middle school, and got the opportunity to help their clarinet sections as much as possible. I also attended HMK High school and Gillette Middle School, here I was able to work with all instrument players but focus more on music theory. Read More

For very young piano/keyboard students, lessons go more smoothly if they know right hand and left hand, count to 10 and know ABC's. They learn to read music almost immediately, and I give them the tools to be able to pick up any piece of music and play it independently.
