I am a graduate of the University of South Florida with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Studies. I have had the opportunity to perform and collaborate with artists all over the United States and, more recently, in Paris, France. I am a strong advocate for the arts, and being able to express yourself fully through it. This very well includes music. I feel that the way music is taught today does not emphasize the creative aspects of music enough. Read More

I have had a passion for music since I was ten years old, and I would love nothing more than to share that passion with the next generation of young musicians. I graduated with a degree in jazz performance from Rutgers University in 2020, and have performed all across the country with several phenomenal musicians, at venues such as Feinstein's 54 Below, Count Basie Theater, Carnegie Hall, and numerous colleges and universities across the east coast. I started playing piano at the age of 8. Since then I have studied throughout my grade and high school years with a number of teachers and college professors. I continued my musical education after being accepted to the internationally renowned William Paterson University's Jazz Studies Program (consistently ranked in the top 5 jazz programs in the nation) at which I studied for two years. I am a professional musician who has participated in a wide variety of gigs including weddings, corporate events, bands, churches and commercial composing. Read More

While most beginning students respond well to the Suzuki method, I also incorporate elements of traditional (namely note-reading) and Dalcroze methods (namely movement, improv, and aural skills) in my teaching. I am also experienced in preparing students for auditions and examinations, such as the Royal Conservatory of Music examination in Canada and ABRSM in the UK. For more information on Suzuki method, please visit https://suzukiassociation.org/about/suzuki-method/ For more information on Dalcroze method, please visit https://dalcrozeusa.org/about-dalcroze/what-is-dalcroze/ Read More

I use the method created by Adolf Herseth (Principle trumpeter in the Chicago Symphony for 50 years). I learned this method from William Fielder at Rutgers. This concept is based on using air as the primary energy source for producing sound. We will work on strengthening the breathing apparatus to be able to produce a pure clear tone that is without distortion. From there we work on being able to keep that same sound thought the full range of the instrument. Read More

I try to find out what my student's goals are and try to arrange lesson plans that will work steadily towards their goals. I try to give them knowledge about interesting facts and tips each week of something that they may not consider. For younger students I try to show them how to practice so that they can prepare themselves appropriately each week. Also I encourage students to use a metronome.I try to emphasize becoming adept at note reading. Read More
