I offer a truly bespoke approach to each student, because all students are different, and your lessons should be tailored and unique to you. My personal training in voice was a very one-size-fits-all approach--if I couldn't do something in a certain way that my instructors wanted, I would often disappoint them, or continue to run up against a brick wall in my progress. I tailor each lesson to the individual student and we set realistic goals. Some students want to learn more challenging pieces and we may work on the latter for a few weeks to a even a few months. Other students feel better working on one piece a week and then moving on. I give great constructive feedback to help improve the students rhythm, musicality, musicianship, and finger placement. All of my students practice more when they love a piece so I try to assign them pieces that interest them. Read More

In my 30 years of teaching experience, and being exposed to many methods, I chose to mix and match them to each student's ability and disposition. Each student is different with variety of expectations, abilities and interests, so as I get to know them, I try to best cater to their needs and find ways for them to learn while growing and improving on every level, not just musically. Engaging students in variety of ways of learning (visual, auditory, etc), I also care of their personal stories, which I find brings great connection and makes learning much more fun for my students as they feel heard.
