My primary instrument is voice, and I am passionate about guiding growing singers in finding their voice, developing healthy vocal technique, learning helpful music theory, and fostering a love of music! For my younger learners I use elements of the Orff and Suzuki Technique, balanced with a play-based approach. The main feedback I get from parents is kids forward to my lessons because I do lots of games, use a light approach, and are always very encouraging. The most important aspect is keeping kids motivated. I believe reading music important, but only one part of playing music. We learn to speak before we learn to read, and I believe in encouraging kids to listen, improvise, and explore the keyboard. Read More

I began teaching private music lessons in college in 2003. I have been teaching lessons consistently for the last 10 years from my home studio, online, as well as traveling to the students' home. I find great pleasure in hearing a student's progress, that's why I encourage recording their practice and having a consistent practice schedule. I feel it is important to give positive reinforcement and feedback to students. I am always excited to bring on new students of many different age groups! I believe it is important to keep the lesson interesting to the student by incorporating music for technique but also songs that the student enjoys playing. I have enjoyed teaching both private and group music classes for over 15 years. I teach piano and violin . I teach a range of music styles from classical to folk to Mariachi Music. I received my degree from Loyola Marymount University. I have been a member of the Junior Philharmonic, Orchestra of California, Loyola Marymount University Orchestra and Beach Cities Symphony.
