Hello! I am a multi-talented music teaching professional proficient in Violin/Viola/Piano. I completed my Bachelor and Masters of Music degree in Violin Performance from the Juilliard School and began my teaching career coaching pre-college students in various strings ensemble classes as a Teaching Assistant. Few distinguished highlights in my early career included debuting with the New Haven Symphony Orchestra at Woolsey Hall, as the winner of the 1999 Young Artist competition, performing with the Yale Philharmonic as a guest soloist, in part of the Young Rising Concert Artist Series. For any students, my method has always been consistent with all types of music. I always ask my students to know what type of music they are most interested in performing, so that I can help them better by giving them lessons that will surely have them perform with ease. In general, after I get to know my students, I help them read notes. And as we progress, I help them study some vocalises and Italian songs for beginners. Read More

My training in piano started from when I was 5 years old. Since then, I continuously took piano lesson and have had performed on the stage as well. I continued my training in piano at the University of Hartford under David Westfall, Paul Rutman, Susan Cheng and Grace Smith. From Manhattan School of Music, I studied composition/theory with Richard Danielpour and Reiko Fueting, and piano with Lisa Yui. I am currently acting as a co-founder and executive administrator for Sforzando Composers Collective, an association of four composers currently based in New York City created in January 2017. My background includes instructing students across various age groups, from beginners to those at an intermediate level. I am dedicated to collaborating closely with each student to devise a tailored curriculum that suits their needs best. It brings me joy to assist students in grasping and comprehending new concepts. The teaching process, for me, is a two-way streetI not only impart knowledge but also gain insights from my students. Sharing the wealth of information I've accumulated over the years and passing it on to the next generation of aspiring students is something I find truly fulfilling. Read More

I started to teach in the second part of my career, when I came to New York,in 2001.I was teaching lessons to occasional students, whom I was acquiring after their visits at the basement where I used to practice,in Park Ave.After some years I realized I have a talent and a passion for teaching so I started to look for more students and while at it, I refined my teaching skills. Then I've found Musika,a great opportunity for me to establish my teaching activity in a professional and more consistent way.Today I've been teaching for them for about 4 years and my enthusiasm in seeing my students grow is bigger and bigger every season. I usually start my beginning piano students who are children, in Alfred's Basic Piano Library, Lesson Book 1A. After a few months, I begin adding solo repertoire that is appropriate for age and ability. For middle school age students and adults, I start with Alfred's Basic Piano, Adult, Level 1. I also like to find out the student's individual interest and find repertoire that they are interested in learning and that are aligned with their current skills. Read More
