Tailoring the lesson for each student and having fun with him/her is the key! I graduated from Bob Jones University in 2012 with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance, and went on to receive a Master of Music degree in Music History from the University of Hartford's prestigious Hartt School, graduating in 2015. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce other solo repertoire pieces that I feel the student is ready for, and assist in musical execution for future recitals.
