Each student progresses at their own pace along with possibly participating in ensembles such as their school orchestra, All-State auditions, and more. For beginning students who are children, I typically start with a modified Suzuki method, starting with rote learning and eventually progressing to notated music. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

I began teaching when I was a freshman in High School and I continued with a full-time load of students throughout all four years because of how much I loved it! Eventually adding some beginner adult students into my rotation of kids as well! I taught a few college level students throughout my college years whenever I could and took on summer students during my breaks! My teaching experience dates back about four years, when I started teaching private lessons after finishing my studies at the University of North Texas. I maintained a large studio while also freelancing in the Dallas area. After moving back to New England to attend Boston University, I began working with the Boston Youth Symphony as a teaching assistant.
