Once the young student is ready, I will discuss about his or her personal taste, and find solo pieces that are suitable for the level acquired, but also enjoyable. My teaching experience started in 2011 where I started working for a private lesson music studio. There I taught students ranging from the ages 5-60 and taught piano and guitar. I also worked part-time as a music theory and keyboard tutor at a Community College. I met weekly with students who were struggling with these subjects. For voice students, we usually warm up, do technical exercises working on varying registers and techniques, and then work on repertoire. I often find the passages in a particular song that the student is struggling with and focus in on those, finding exercises to guide the student.
