Even if the child ends up not continuing as a pianist, my goal is that he/she will always be in contact with music, whether as a patron, composer, or playing another instrument. I graduated from the Baldwin Wallace Conservatory in 2018 with a Bachelors degree in Music Therapy. I studied percussion primarily in college, but also studied voice and piano during my time at Baldwin Wallace. During my undergraduate career, I performed with the Baldwin Wallace Symphonic Wind Ensemble, Baldwin Wallace Orchestra, and Baldwin Wallace Percussion Ensemble. Once the student has progressed and has a good grasp of the fundamentals, I will bring in other repertoire appropriate to their level. For adults, I like to find out what the student is interested in and then tailor the lesson toward that to keep lessons engaging and fun no matter what their abilities are. I always try to keep the lessons fun and entertaining. I like to encourage creativity in the studio; I don't push every student to have the same musical experiences.
