I have an eclectic style of teaching and may use different methods for different students. I want my students to be able to understand music and be able to play long after our lessons are over. I discuss theory and harmony as we work on different pieces. I usually end lessons by improvising along with students, or doing ear training games, which both children and adults love. Read More

I teach classical music exclusively. My strategy for utterly inexperienced students is to remove from the equation the difficulty of reading a music score, and just allow the hands to "learn" the keyboard by having the student repeating short musical sentences (either preexisting or improvised by me on the spot). Once familiarity with the keyboard has been achieved, or if the student already reads music, we move on to his or her first book, and I tend to favor Nancy and Randall Faber's Piano Adventures. I am a caring and passionate instructor who loves working with young students and help them find joy and peace through music. I have been studying piano since I was five years old and have been teaching for 4 years. My specialty is classical pieces and my favourite composer is Chopin. I also graduated from law school in Thailand in 2012. I just recently graduated Master Degree of Law from Harvard Law School. Read More

For beginning students who are children, I typically start with Alfred's Basic Piano Library or Piano Adventures Faber method. Once the student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for their first recital performance. This could include jazz, classical or pop music. For adults, I try to find out what the student is interested in, and guide my instruction accordingly to keep the lessons engaging and fun, no matter their ability level. Read More

Teaching for me is the difference between passion and disaster. With the right push, anyone can feel the need to play music. Music isn't supposed to be intended for a chosen few. My first teachers really engrained that into my mind when I first started learning. Through this, I have learned to create an environment where there are no mistakes, only chances to learn. It if very hard to continue in something so subjective, like music, constantly berating ones self. Read More
