I grew up playing both piano and drums. In addition to my Piano Masters at Peabody, I minored in percussion and performed with the Peabody Percussion ensemble in Carnegie Hall. In the Air Force I played piano with the Washington State Air National Guard Jazz band for two years. Once student has progressed to have a grasp of the fundamentals, I will begin to introduce solo repertoire appropriate for the recital performance. For adults, if student is beginner, I usually start with Alfreds Adult Beginner book. I graduated with a BS in Music Ed and enrolled in many piano pedagogy classes. I have taught music education in Harford and Baltimore County Schools and taught band and orchestral instruments. M performances have included concertos, 4 hand music and chamber music.
