For this reason I am flexible with the content we work on and the order in which we complete different parts of the lesson. I was a teacher at a preschool for those 6 years so parents that knew me became interested in me teaching their children. In the past few years, I have worked with adult students who have wanted to learn for their own personal interest or to add to their growing list of instruments they already play. Ibegan teaching private lessons from 2004 and tried to consistently teaching students in my home studio. I was a counselor and private lesson instructor at the OSU Flute Workshop from 2011 to 2013. Playing duets with student, learn very exciting extended techniques, and various repertoire are features I emphasize for students to help them enjoy and motivate to learn.
