Every student is different: Some want to compete in recitals, some want to play for their friends and family when they come over, some want to compose their own musical pieces, some people just wanna jam! I began teaching when I started studying with Berklee. Admittedly, I wasn't entirely sure how to take on such a job, but soon discovered that it was something that came naturally to me, and something I enjoyed doing. I have taught students of varying levels, from a complete beginner unable to read any music, to someone who was able to sightread proficiently. I like to take the time to know what my student's goals are, and help them work towards achieving them. Read More

I am a passionate and motivated musician and teacher. I started playing guitar back in 1996. Over the years, my passion for music and love for guitar allowed me to play in numerous bands, covering all forms of music. I later decided to study music under the finest musicians this region has to offer. This is where I honed my skills in Jazz Guitar, Classical Guitar, Jazz Bass, Jazz Piano, Jazz and Classical Composition, Jazz Arranging, Jazz and Classical Pedagogy, Jazz and Classical Conducting, Latin Jazz, Gypsy Jazz, Modern Jazz, Large Jazz Ensemble, Guitar Ensemble, Live Sound and Audio Recording. I have been teaching private lessons for five years now to students aged 8-18. I have also taught general music classes to 3 month-two year olds in an early childhood music class. My students have excelled through solos, ensembles, festivals, etc. I believe in consistency of instruction and positive reinforcement and criticism. I best serve my students by being adaptable to all of their needs. I am currently working with a student that has william's syndrome and we have a blast together. Read More

I create play-along videos, so that kids have something specific to practice at home. I use "Read this First" as a note reading book. Students play along with me and also by themselves at lessons. Eventually kids can gather together and play as a group if they wish to do so. I start with memorization, and easy ways of writing down the songs... and eventually kids will learn to read music, after they've secured a basic technique. Read More

I started teaching piano 5 years ago. I love teaching and I love kids. Encouraging the kids to practice regularly at home is important. But also HOW to practice at home is as equally as important. Passion is contagious and I hope that my students can follow my passion.  Read More
