For all students I strongly encourage an appropriate level to begin with. I am very familiar and prefer to teach with the James Bastien series. This series come with the appropriate assigned age level. There are four books with each level. A technic, theory, performance, and Piano. While progressing through that level I mix in to teach Major, Minor, harmonic minor, and melodic minor scales for theory and fundamentals. I like to find out what attracts my students to music, and more specifically, why they want to learn to play piano. By investigating the motives of my students, I can better tailor a lesson that delivers both what they want to learn and what they need to learn. Greetings fellow students!! I am a dedicated piano instructor who enjoys nothing more than seeing students progress and get better. After graduating high school in 2002, I attended Muhlenberg College. While there, I studied Music Theory, and had the good fortune to play piano in the school's Jazz Improvisation Ensemble, led by renowned bassist and former Modern Jazz Quartet alum Charles Fambrough.
