For clarinet, saxophone, Fagot or oboe students reeds should be provided by the parents. I can offer guidance on finding reeds at lower prices and selecting the appropriate sizes and brands for each instrument. Once they establish the fundamentals, I'll assign them solo repertoire so they can begin learning their own pieces. For older students, I'll find out what they are interested in learning and go from there. Once students are past the fundamentals and rudiments of their instrument(s), I introduce large selections of solo repertoire to sight-read in lessons; this process allows students to try out a large number of pieces, and then selecting a few to study forward.
