When I first started teaching in college I used standardized materials and found it was helpful but inadequate to teach everything my students needed. I have been teaching privately for 6 years, and have much experience teaching in groups as well. I was the flute instructor for the University of Arizona Outreach Honor Band, where I sat in the flute section and gave weekly sectionals.
