I typically will start students with excercises of my own creation. I then will add either Esssential Elements, or Rubanks Elelmentary Method depending on the learning style of the student. we will play duets from Amsdens Celebrated Practice Duets, or Selected Duests for trombone vol. 1 or 2 by H. Since the age of 5 I've been playing the piano. I had my first recital at 5, at which I played Ode to Joy by Beethoven and I'm 49-years-old now and can still remember that. I have been in love with the piano my entire life and have been teaching piano to kids and adults since I went to college at 18. I am passionate about working with people of all ages, and helping them grow as musicians and develop a lifelong love of music.  After I graduated college in 2004, I went on to teach music in Wisconsin, Hawaii, and now Washington. I have taught voice lessons to a wide range of students of different ages and abilities, and have also taught beginning piano lessons.
