Moving forward, the best introduction into violin music itself is the Suzuki Violin School volume set. Each book helps students through various levels during their beginner phase. These pieces not only serve as educational material but also as solo repertoire for beginners in recitals. Also, I can teach fundamental music theory which includes things like scales so you can solo on your guitar in certain keys of the song. I do understand however that some (adults) only want to learn to play some songs for their own personal gain, and not have to mess around with note reading.
