My methods are practical and simple based on classical voice training. Each and every lesson is customized to suit the students needs at every level. I stress the importance of breathing, vowel placement and pronunciation. I have participated in the BU Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Orchestra and the Texas Festival Orchestra at the Round Top Festival Institute. At Juilliard, I have performed in Alice Tully Hall with the Juilliard Orchestra, the New Juilliard Ensemble, the AXIOM ensemble. In my free time, I participate in community outreach through benefit concerts and as a member of the United Nations Chamber Music Society, the United Nations charity chamber music series that raises money for the United Nations Refugee Fund. For early students, I typically start with the Suzuki books, as I like the organized technical and musical progression of each piece. As the students develop I begin to add supplimentary materials such as etude and scale books. Students can progress from open strings to Bach with ease. I have been teaching students for about twelve years.  I held graduate teaching assistantships at the University of Florida, Boston University and the Boston University Tanglewood Institute.  In addition, I woas a contracted instructor at a private K-6 school in Chestnut Hill, MA.  My students have won auditions and competitions at both the professional and collegiate levels.  While I am passionate and very serious about the art, I also feel it is important to enjoy playing and studying music. I am always very patient with all my students. I never try to put too much work on the student and always believe you should have more then one chance to get it right. Music is not a test and their is no failing, there is only the end result, which ends when the student makes progress, no matter how long it takes. I like to concentrate on my students abilities and ask that they bring 100% to their lessons as most of the lesson time is spent on the instrument; some lessons may be more informative for students interested inan in depthunderstanding of music theory. I began teaching during the last few years of my bachelor's degree, I remember taking a Flute Pedagogy class which provided me the basics as to how to demonstrate concepts to students.
