Instruments: Piano Violin Viola
I love to teach students music and help them grow both as people and musicians. In 2009, I graduated from Fresno Pacific University with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education, and my primary instruments were violin, viola, and piano. After graduation, I continued to maintain my home studio where I taught individual lessons, and I also taught elementary orchestra for Chandler Unified. Since having my 2 kids, I teach from home exclusively, and I play in various chamber groups throughout the Valley. Read More
Instruments: Guitar
My passion is playing guitar, listening to music, and teaching music. I graduated from Arizona Conservatory for the Arts and Academics in 2015, and then graduated from Northern Arizona University with a Bachelor's Degree for Music Performance (Emphasis in Guitar). I have been in many bands, and have shared the stage at Alice Cooper's Christmas Pudding with Alice Cooper, Motley Crue, KISS, and others. I have studied classical guitar for many years, and have been performing rock and blues since I can remember. Read More

I like to teach my students with more of a coaching style. I want to know what their intentions are as a bass player, their willingness to put in the work. After understanding what my students want to accomplish, then we create goals and strategies along the way to ensure they are improving at the desired rate. The best bass players in the professional world are often the most consistent with their work ethic, taking the time to develop their ears, their reading skills in addition to their practice regimen. Instruments: Flute Piccolo
I teach because I love to share the knowledge that I have obtained through my personal experiences and apply them to my students. Nothing is better than seeing my students improve on a weekly basis! I am patient, fun, and motivating towards my students. I respect that everyone learns at their own pace. I firmly believe that the experience of teaching privately is a two-way street between the instructor and the student: it is my responsibility to give the student the materials they need to further their musicianship, and with these tools given, the student has a personal responsibility to practice in order to fulfill the weekly-to-overall goal. The advantages of private lessons over in-class tuition are legion. All children learn differently, no matter how old, and if I can recognize the student's specific needs - be it confidence, focus, a goal - the classes can be tailored to meet individual needs. Another advantage is rate of progress. In class the faster learners can lose interest as the slower struggle to keep up. All can arrive at the destination but not all take the same path. Read More

I also regularly read and attend lectures, conferences, seminars and master classes to always improve my teaching skills. I have been teaching piano and music theory since 1983 and have played professionally. I am a of Music Teachers (CAPMT), Empire Music Teachers Association (EMTA), the Music Educators National member in good standing with the Music Teachers National Association (MTNA), and was with the California Association Conference (MENC), the Suzuki Association of North America, the National & the Inland Empire Kodaly-Orff Association, and the National Conference on Keyboard Pedagogy. Instruments: Flute
I teach the basics of flute playing including how to produce a beautiful tone, how to play with good posture, how to play rhythms and articulations properly, how to sight read and how to play standard flute repertoire. Beyond this though, I believe students who have a firm grasp of how music theory, music history and musical style combine can play with greater musical understanding and expression. This kind of musical training also increases students capacity to enjoy music as listeners because they have expanded musical understanding. Read More
