I assign method books, etudes (studies), and repertoire appropriate for the playing level of the student. My teaching emphasizes fundamentals first for students of every level. This fundamental study supports students in their pursuit of their musical and artistic goals. The method books I recommend students begin with are in the Rubank series, either Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced. Etudes to supplement will be the Cavally Melodious and Progressive studies. I have been playing the saxophone for 12 years and began teaching around 5 years ago at Beavercreek Schools. Due to completing my education, I had to temporarily cease private teaching and have recently begun again with the pandemic becoming more under control.
