I began giving private guitar lessons 5 years ago, in 2018. Since then I have taught both privately and at music studios. My teaching experience dates back to my earliest teenage years, when I convinced a local church (and my parents) in Cincinnati, Ohio, to let me teach privately in one of the church rooms. Soon afterwards, I landed a teaching job with Howard Early Music there, one of the more reputable music chains in that area. Throughout middle school and high school, I branched out musically and played low brass, guitar, and bass guitar to become a more well-rounded musician.  I implement materials of my own design mixed with songs of the students choosong and tastes, and typically have them up and playing a song or two that they like in a couple of lessons.  All ages, styles, and expereince levels are welcome. For reading,  I like to use a combination of notation, tabs and chord diagrams.  And while I dont absolutely insist that the student learn to read notation, I do strongly encourage it. Read More
