For all students I began with breathing exercises, then buzzing in there mouthpiece. Then go into working from the Essential Elements book by Hal Leonard. After they have progressed and grasp the fundamentals, I usually began giving them solo repertoire. My teaching experience dates back to my high school time. I was the top student in theory class. So when my theory teacher is not able to come to the class, I helped with the class content. Therefore I value theory very much, I teach theory knowledge with piano skills together. I am a extremely patient person and I teach students depending on their own personalities. I received a BM in Composition from SUNY Fredonia where I served on the executive board for Ethos New Music Society and taught private bass lessons to non-music majors. In May 2013, I was awarded the Ethos Laureate Prize in Composition for my chamber opera Randalls Leaf and, most recently, won Peabody's Macht Orchestra Composition Competition in 2015 forPillars, erased.
