I started teaching private piano lessons to all ages and abilities when I was in college. I have experience with beginner level students ages 5-adult and intermediate level students ages 6-14. I have experience teaching traditional classical piano (reading sheet music), as well as pop piano (reading lead sheets). Professionally, I have worked as a freelance musician across the country playing holiday ceremonies to pops concerts, and various other recordings projects. Diversifying my playing experiences has helped me to be a well rounded and knowledgeable performer, that I impart to my students. During my undergraduate degree at the University of North Texas, I frequently performed chamber music with my colleagues in the surrounding community and discussed the importance of music in schools.
