Hello! My name is Donovan, and I am an instructor who specializes in ear training and technique. Originally being a self-taught musician, I began with piano and harmonica, then eventually branched out to guitar, bass, banjo, among several others. I usually takes time after a few lesson to give them a chart to understand how to read notes, along with flashcards to study at home too. If the child is comfortable, when recitals occur they are able to participate. Learning tools include method books, recordings of the lesson, and playing along with me. I also make solo pieces available, and encourage the student to participate in local recitals.
